Even though the Chateau was closed for renovations (seemingly indefinitely), it was still nice wandering around this small town in Provence, France. I took this photo, carefully framing it to avoid the cars parked in front of the clocktower. Then I turned and walked into an artist’s gallery just behind me. The first thing I saw was a painting of the same scene with almost an identical composition.

During my stay in Aix-en-Provence I went on a drive to a number of small villages nearby. I stopped in this village, which has a chateau at the top of the hill. Unfortunately, the Chateau was closed for renovations but I still enjoyed wandering around the town.

While taking this photo I was actually stood right in the lavender. I had been stood there for quite a while before realizing that I was surrounded by dozens of bees. Luckily they were merrily going about their way from flower to flower and didn’t take much notice of me.

I’ve been wanting to photograph this for a while. Tonight I was out working on a new project in Bermuda and was inspired to finally get down and try to grab a shot of this old chimney. I’ve been wanting to try photographing the stars for a while now. I didn’t think I’d get a chance tonight as it was pretty stormy. When I got there, I realized that the clouds were sparse and moving quickly. By dragging my shutter I was able to stretch out the clouds and capture some of the stars behind them.
